Xentry 2019 Activation is crucial for utilizing the full diagnostic capabilities of your Mercedes-Benz SD Connect C4. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for activating your Xentry software version 2019.12, ensuring seamless operation with your diagnostic hardware. This process applies to various SD Connect C4 software versions.
Obtaining Your Hardware ID and License
First, generate a text file to store important information. Locate the “GetHardware ID_NoRing0” utility on your system. Run it and copy the displayed Hardware ID. This unique identifier is essential for obtaining a valid license. Contact your dealer or a trusted software provider, providing them with your Hardware ID. They will generate a “license.dat” file specifically for your device.
Activating DAS and Acquiring MAC Address
Open the DAS application and press the “ESC” key. Navigate to the EWA (Electronic Workshop Application) software and log in using the default credentials (user: admin, password: 12345). Within EWA, identify and copy your current MAC address, also known as the LAN-ID. Paste this MAC address into your text document for later use.
Generating EPCnet and WISnet Keys
Open the “CarProkey” application and select “EPCnetWISnet for EWA.” Paste the LAN-ID from your text file into the “LanHW ID” field. Input your user information and adjust the expiration date as needed. Click “GENERATE” to create your EPCnet and WISnet keys.
Copy the generated information to your clipboard. In the EWA page, enter the EPCnet number into the “StartKey” field and the WISnet number into the “WIS/A SRA” option. Click “Save” to store these keys.
Launching EPC and WIS/ASRA Applications
Within the EWA main menu, click “Programs” to launch the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) application. Subsequently, run the WIS/ASRA (Workshop Information System/Assembly Structure Retrieval Application) application.
Configuring SD Connect and Xentry Developer
Open ConfigAssist and select “SDconnect.” Choose “Configure” and click the lock icon. Enter “Xentry Developer,” paste your Hardware ID from ConfigAssist, and modify the start and expiration dates. Click “Generate” to create your Xentry license.
Copy the generated license string and paste it into the “StartKey” field within the “Manual” option of ConfigAssist.
Completing Xentry 2019 Activation
Upon successful StartKey installation, you will be able to launch and utilize the Xentry diagnosis software.
